In 2024, we lost a true champion of our community—Tara, a long-time Truro Bearcats Lacrosse Mom, President, Treasurer, and tireless volunteer. Tara dedicated her heart and soul to supporting young athletes, always fostering a culture of collaboration, positivity, and accountability. This tournament is dedicated to her legacy, and we’re excited to bring her spirit to life.
Building the Future, One Game at a Time
We’re kicking off our inaugural tournament by focusing on the foundations of our sport—the U9 and U11 teams! These are the future stars of lacrosse, and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor Tara than by giving them the chance to shine. This is for B level teams, not all star teams.
Where the Action Happens:
- U9 games will take place at the Deuvilles Rink in Harmony
- U11 games at the Colchester Legion Stadium
Tournament Details:
- Dates: Friday June 19th and Saturday June 20th
- Cost: $550
- Guaranteed Games: Every team will play at least three games!
- Maximum Number of Teams: 8 teams per age group, this is for B level teams.
Our vision is clear: to create a tournament that reflects Tara’s unwavering dedication to the game and the athletes. As we honor her legacy, we want this event to be a celebration of teamwork, sportsmanship, and the positive attitude that she worked so hard to cultivate.
This tournament is only the beginning, and we’re already looking forward to growing it to include more age groups in the future. But first, we’re proud to start with the heart of our association—our U9 and U11 teams!
