TRURO BEARCATS LACROSSE ASSOCIATION 2026 REGISTRATION DATES & DETAILS

We are planning to have teams for all divisions again this year after a successful year with high numbers in 2025. There will not be any over agers for the U17 division this year as they have started a Junior B division.

Season Length
Practices will begin in April and championship weekend is July 10-12, 2026 location TBA. Lacrosse has grown lots in the last couple of years, which means more teams and more games. Yay!! 

U7
Our mini program teaches kids the basic of lacrosse in a fun, exciting, games-based environment.  Mini is great for any kid trying lacrosse for a first time and just wanted to see how much fun playing Canadian Summer National sport can be.  Mini lacrosse is a scheduled to start May 2nd and end July 12, where you only need a Helmet, gloves and stick to participate.  A great opportunity way to enjoy lacrosse in a fun exciting environment.  

U9 

The U9 program will run similar to the 2025 season with a Jamboree or 2 throughout the season, full gear is required for the season. We are in planning stages of a U9-U11 Tournament.

U11, U13, U15, U17 
Our U11, U13, U15 and U17 teams are part of the Scotia Minor Lacrosse League (SMLL), which will include teams from: Pictou, Cape Breton and Valley.  This league features 10-12 regular season games and 3 day League Championship July 10-12th, 2026 location TBA. Games will normally take place on the weekend and we hope to play two games in 1 day to maximize traveling for parents.  U11 team(s) will have one hour practice a week, the U13, U15 and U17s will have a hour and half long practice a week at the Colchester Legion Stadium in Truro.
